The owner of this house in Rye wanted her backyard to feel secluded even though property lines were fairly close in this lovely, walkable neighborhood. She wanted an organic, free-flowing feel that highlighted her unusual specimen plants within her suburban refuge.
The Finished Project
We carefully worked around an existing beloved dwarf weeping cherry, taking care to respect its place in the garden. We planted evergreens as a screen above a dry-look, stacked wall. The hedge gives privacy and is a pleasant textural backdrop for the extensive plantings surrounding the patio.
