Structure and Harmony

New Canaan, Connecticut

The Goal...

This New Canaan homeowner liked organization. The cottage-style house was surrounded by many scrubby, unhealthy trees. We selectively “edited” the woods and created new planting spaces. Entrance pillars, a low stone wall and a driveway court provide the definition that the owner craved.

The Look...

Early spring color softens the hard edges and lends curb appeal. Rustic “horse” troughs are planted with seasonal color and boulders and perennials lend a natural feel to the inner courtyard.
